mac2jb version 0.7.0 brings together guided setup, save-management additions and experimental homebrew tools. Published on November 2, 2026, the project’s release notes list the Cellenseres ns2jb host with retained RPC and a guided SmileBASIC setup covering either the full game or its demo.

For readers following Switch 2 modding, the distinction between included tools and demonstrated capabilities matters here. The notes describe several components as experimental and identify one addition specifically as a proof of concept; they do not establish a blanket claim of jailbreak compatibility.

Launcher saves and backup tools

The release adds Artemis launcher saves for the Seedsow and Nora demos, together with backups of the original saves. It also bundles modified seedsowhax and norahax saves for offline installation.

SaveKit gains title and account discovery, verified exports and experimental restore tools. Those labels deserve separate attention: the release describes exports as verified while retaining an experimental designation for restoration.

Other additions include an automatic cpypwn HTTP showcase, preservation of custom B-button scripts and Artemis HTTP controls. NSP-Box and NUP developer tools are also included in the update.

Experimental emulation and browser research

On the homebrew side, the notes list native HBLauncher and experimental MintNES for CPU homebrew and mapper 0 NES games. They also introduce a Mac-driven CivSwitch path with an animated JavaScript display proof of concept.

OunceCake gains a WebDAV download-all ZIP option, alongside experimental SD file browsing. Bundled Switch browser research scripts round out the release’s browser-related additions.

Taken together, the changes broaden the project’s setup and development options. Readers interested in emulation or save restoration should keep the release’s experimental qualifiers attached to those features when assessing what this version offers.
