JB Hi-Fi pairs Pixel 11 Pro phones with a Nintendo Switch 2 in Australia

Australian shoppers buying a Google Pixel 11 Pro or Pixel 11 Pro XL at JB Hi-Fi can receive a Nintendo Switch 2 at no additional charge through November 9, according to Notebookcheck’s November 3 report. The promotion puts a dedicated Nintendo console alongside either phone, giving buyers a separate device for gaming.

What the bundle includes

Notebookcheck reports that the offer also includes three months of YouTube Premium and six months of Google AI Pro. Trade-ins exchanged for JB Hi-Fi gift cards can be applied toward the purchase.

There is an important condition for anyone considering a return: buyers who return the phone must return the bundled console as well, according to the report.

Notebookcheck lists the Switch 2’s Australian retail price at AU$769.95, following an increase from AU$699.95 in September. That provides a reference for the console’s standalone value, although the report does not supply the phones’ purchase prices.

A separate route to Nintendo gaming

The bundle arrives against a backdrop of reported gaming limitations on Google’s phones. Notebookcheck says the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL use Tensor G6 processors and describes compatibility problems involving their PowerVR graphics hardware.

One example was Genshin Impact, which the publication says suffered rendering errors on Pixel 11 phones at launch, including purple textures. Its report says a later game update resolved that issue.

For shoppers, the practical distinction is straightforward: the promotion adds a console for playing Nintendo games. It does not change the phone’s graphics capabilities, so buyers should assess the handset and the included gaming device separately.
