Eden-NX2 Report Points to Early Switch 2 Emulation on Windows

Switch 2

An experimental emulator called Eden-NX2 reportedly brings early Nintendo Switch 2 game support to Windows PCs, adding another development to the console’s emerging modding scene. According to eTeknix’s November 2 report, developer Takoroka made a pre-release build public on October 29.

The outlet places that release seven days after an online demonstration of the ns2jb jailbreak. That reported sequence links two milestones in the Switch 2 scene, although the emulator’s availability should not be read as evidence of broad compatibility or dependable performance.

Games reportedly boot, with substantial limitations

eTeknix reports that Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza can boot in Eden-NX2. Its account also describes frequent stuttering and low frame rates unless users have exceptionally powerful hardware, making the current results a limited indication of progress.

Graphics remain another obstacle. The outlet attributes missing 3D meshes and other visual problems in early clips to shaders that have not yet been implemented, citing the developer’s release notes. Successfully starting a game therefore does not establish that it displays correctly or runs smoothly throughout.

An experimental branch with existing roots

According to the report, Eden-NX2 builds on the existing Eden emulator, whose origins trace back to the Yuzu codebase. eTeknix also identifies Eglantine as another fork appearing in the same developing ecosystem.

For readers following Switch 2 jailbreaks and homebrew, the distinction between an early boot demonstration and a usable emulator matters. The reported results suggest experimental software is taking shape, while the documented rendering gaps and performance problems leave its practical usefulness uncertain. These claims remain attributed to eTeknix’s account; they are not independent compatibility or performance findings.
