Dr. Mario and Panel de Pon join Switch Online’s play-to-redeem icon lineup

Nintendo Switch Online members can redeem character icons based on Dr. Mario and Panel de Pon, with both selections available until November 30, 2026. According to Nintendo Everything’s November 3 report, each game has seven designs, priced at 10 Platinum Points apiece.

Launching the games unlocks access

These selections use a play-to-redeem requirement: members must first launch the corresponding game through Nintendo Classics before they can redeem its icons. Having enough Platinum Points alone does not satisfy that initial requirement.

Panel de Pon is available through the SNES app. For the Dr. Mario selection, the report directs members to the GBA app, which requires the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership tier.

Two sets, different membership requirements

The practical distinction is access to the required game. Members interested in the Dr. Mario designs should check their subscription tier before planning a redemption, while those looking for Panel de Pon should launch it in the SNES app.

The reported price applies to each individual design. Players can therefore choose specific characters from either selection rather than treating the seven icons as a single purchase.

Nintendo Everything says the two selections will be replaced by icons from other titles after November 30. For members who collect Nintendo profile designs, that makes the current availability window the key date to keep in mind.
