A project called eden-NX2 is being presented as a Nintendo Switch 2 emulator capable of running Mario Kart World on PC, according to a November 2 report from se7en.ws. The report attributes the project to developer Takoroka, who acknowledged that the current version still needs numerous fixes.
Gameplay claims come with caveats
According to se7en.ws, Centro Leaks highlighted gameplay footage posted by social media user SaoriYuki. The outlet describes Mario Kart World reaching 60 frames per second, with occasional brief freezes attributed to shader compilation. Those figures are the source’s account of the footage, rather than independently verified performance results.
The report also names Donkey Kong Bananza among the titles the emulator can run. It does not provide a hardware configuration, a compatibility breakdown or enough testing detail to establish how consistently either game works across different PCs.
Emulation is a separate claim from a jailbreak
Se7en.ws says Takoroka made eden-NX2 publicly accessible and that its archive excludes copyrighted game files, requiring users to supply their own game dumps. That description alone does not establish the project’s legal status.
For readers following Switch 2 modding and homebrew, the distinction matters: the report concerns claimed PC emulation. It does not establish a Switch 2 jailbreak, a method for running homebrew on the console, or a confirmed route for extracting games. The developer’s warning also leaves the project’s practical readiness uncertain.
